About Me

Lezlie fell in love with the creative potential of leather long before her formal art school education. As a teen in the 70’s, she was so inspired by the versatility and creativity of a material that can be sculpted, tooled, carved, and wet formed – serving a functional place in art and fashion.

Lezlie was also the first lampwork bead artist in Canada. She discovered this ancient secretive technique from Murano, Italy, in the early 1990’s. Through much research and determination, she became an expert in the field.

Combining years of experience and knowledge in leatherwork, she developed a cutting-edge approach to traditional leatherworking. This has led to her exciting new line of unique handbags and accessories, which can adorned with one of Lezlie’s precious handmade glass beads. Using the finest, hand-selected materials, each piece is lovingly handcrafted one at a time and can be customized to suit your needs.

The pieces are fun, whimsical, colourful and tactile. Inspired by nature, symbolism, love, tattoo art, and meaningful imagery – it is wearable art that evokes a feeling or memory and often tells a story… a fashion experience, turning art into life.
